i just turned 16 last week been using a buckmaster set at 70ibs for the
past 4 years perfect shot at a 3.5 square inch target from 20yds to 45yds
300fps.. killed my first deer last year ever with that bow. shot at 30 yds
only ran 50 ..
In a simple sense, the attachments help mitigate the inherent
inconsistencies of the archer by dampening vibrations, balancing the bow
and providing a steady reference point for aiming. Unlike a compound bow,
however, using a recurve is still very much a physical process with no
mechanical assistance.
A long stab gets in the way, making it hard to move around or shoot from a
hide. For the same reason, target compounds and recurves are larger than
their compact hunting counterparts. Hunting bows are also to be balanced
with a short stab.
So I have an older Browning compound bow(98 or 99). Draw length set at 31″
and the poundage is 70. I don’t know if its my form or what, but I have a
hell of a time drawing it. I can get it back but I allllmost stall out
midway. It doesn’t make since to me. I lift weights and can bent-over row
90lb dumbells with relative ease and proper form for 8-10 reps. Why am I
having trouble with a mere 70lb?
The draw length on the pse compound is too long for you if thats your bow
good shot bro do a montage
hahha, that shot wasnt from that longbow, different fletchings in the
target then on the bow
Hi.. Is it okay to twist my release-hand so that it would anchor on my
jawbone during aiming?
2:40 nice camera trick you got there
Pretty good video.
it is a hoyt competition bow
I’m 15, 6’1″, 170 pounds and in good shape, what draw weight should I use
for a compound bow?
I think at least 20 lbs. at least.Tat’s what I’me using.I’m eleven.
And I’m 15. Big difference.
Thank you very much.
I’m the same as you and I started with 50 pounds. You don’t want to start
to high or you will have bad form and possibly hurt yourself.
Thanks!

Nice =) congrats! You’re 16 and pulling 70lbs? -_- Damn I need to work out,
I’m 25 and 50lbs is enough for me lol.
Then I will throw this poor guy into a time machine and set him off into
medieval time. He would be a fine asset in any army.
If you’re shooting Olympic-style recurve, you’ll also be using sights and
stabilisers.
