Lol nah, you just need more practice!! If you move back gradually, you
wouldn’t be that far off target. I’d start at 70 yards and work back 10
yards after being able to hit the target with 2-5 shots. You can get there,
please don’t give up yet!!
you really think your special with your “traditional” bow huh? well your
not traditional until you build your bow from completely natural materials.
so you can stick that mass produced piece of garbage up your self riotous
ass.
@bullmaster1911 think of it like this: fists=recurve, gun=compound, offer
fistfight, gun shoots, fist lose, gun is a pussy. u have a spear and
another guy has a gun. target is far away. simply unfair. guns/compounds r
too easy. save it for only killing. recurves can kill AND provide pleasure
and exercise. why is it normal for compounds to shoot so far? u need no
fucking skill.
Ignorant for sure. Some of the better recurves go for around a grand, and
you can shoot that one twice over if you want a traditional hand hewn
longbow built by a master bowyer. Compounds are cheap in comparison for the
most part. That guy was just another internet mouth trying to see who would
bite if he wagged his tongue without any control. And Bench presses, Only a
few can bench 400, but everybody can Pull 4lbs. (That is my response, but
Few of them understand it). Shoot straight man.
Thanks, and absolutely! As is the one that has respect for all forms of
archery in their own world and is humble to enough to admit their own
shortcomings. The thing that appealed to me about trad bow shooting is that
I can’t lean on equipment as an excuse or in place of skill but being great
with a compound still ain’t easy.
The thing I love about shooting these ranges is that your form flaws are so
glaringly obvious. Recently realized shooting my longbow at 60y that my
draw length is painfully inconsistent so been having to work on that (i.e.
sometimes I’m over a 3 foot target and sometimes I’m low – issues!)
Ah gotcha. Definitely true. My personal pet peeve, working in the Strength
and Conditioning field, is that bench press is something nearly every high
school meathead will brag about even though it’s nearly irrelevant to life
in general, not to mention sports.
in the traditional archers bible it talks about accuracy at longer
distances stating that with traditional bows a longer bow will be more
accurate at a longer distance. for example it talks about how a gentleman
was able to put 6 arrows in a row into a 9 inch dot at 80 yards, keep
shooting and practicing and I am sure you’ll become quite proficient at
those long distance shots.
most compound bows likely also go twice as fast or more then a recurve bow.
fun target praccy but I wouldn’t hunt with any bow at 100 yards let alone a
recurve
+kylemcgeever Do you understand that real bows have existed for some 40,000
years? They have an outstandingly long record in human history used for
both survival and weapon of war. Your silly training wheel contraption has
been around for 40 years, and its mark in history is that of a toy used for
sport. Compare track records.
If you were actually shooting at an animal at that range (recurve or
compound) there would be way to much chance of maiming or gut shooting the
animal. , which only gives anti-hunters more ammunition to slam our sport.
The animal deserves better. I have found too many gut shot animals in the
woods to try those reckless actions

What are you talking about, we’re arguing about bows, not spears? Throwing
sticks at animals is a whole other topic.
i love your grasp on reality!

Shoot away from your house!!!!!!
Lol! At least you gave it a great try!
Indeed, internet its like a recruit office for the army.. Amazing strange
people and views ;). Ive lived in Oslo all my life yes.
I made a special long bow for ranges over 50yrds, I call it the 3006.

Absolutely, quite pathetic really.

You need more range time. A good man always knows his limitations

continuously right, consider shortening your arrows. (un-stiffen them)

nice work bro! Enjoy it!
Hey man, maybe I missed it. What is the draw weight of your recurve?

your like me man. too much time on your hands lol. its fun shooting tho.
