Minigem55 – the shrink wrap is more dense than newspaper but I have seen
people use burlap or rags. All I know is that the plastic wrap works
really, really well. Bow season opens in one week in Idaho : )

I made a shrink wrap target before I saw this video… built a wood frame
on a stand, 9″ deep with a 4x3ft target area. Wrap is held in with 2″ hole
chicken wire on the front and back and covered with landscaping mesh. It
works great for my girl’s little genesis bows at 20 yards at 20-25lbs. The
arrows only go in maybe 4 inches at most, and are easy to remove. Shot
probably 1000 arrows into it so far and the packing material is holding up
quite well…
Thanks just started getting back into archery and was looking for an
affordable way to start up again. This helped a lot, fired about 10 arrows
and haven’t hit the target yet (all the knocks have conveniently broken
off…) but when I eventually the target I’ll let you know how it all
worked out. Haha! Thanks for the great video.
Awesome idea, I have made them with a box and old clothing pack tight and
then ducked tape shut, that worked pretty good, I will have to try one with
the shrink rap too. Thanks for posting your video
what a great idea – never thought of shrink wrap. All those years ago we
used to stuf boxes full of bundled up newspapers – this seems a lot easier
to do.
Wow I wouldn’t want to wear antlers in your yard.. cool stuff.
I’m about to go do this. will report back with my findings sir! thanks for
the ideas!
What’s the purpose of shrink wrap inside the box? Why not like newspaper or
something?

RevRynd – let me know how it worked out for you.

Brilliant! My son and I made one, and it works great. I love how easy the
arrows come out compared to a foam target. Thanks!
It’s drogo from game of thrones!
Wow! This is fantastic. Worked like a charm. Thank you SOO much
Awesome! Glad it was successful.
Awesome, I’ll give this.
Thanks for posting this. I’ve recently gotten back into archery after a 30
