The animators who made this know very little about archery. The big lug at
0:31’s stance is completely wrong, and Merida’s no better! The way she
nocks the arrow at 1:55 is a great way to slice off a fletching and damage
your arrow. Even on the movie posters when Merida is shown holding a bow
she has the arrow nocked incorrectly.

Though I agree there’s a need for more black female protagonists in kids
films I like that Merida’s scottish, you don’t see Scottish princesses that
often in American films aimed at kids.

Another white woman in the lead role. Hooray -____-
Oh My God
I wonder what happens next.
perfect paradox!!!whoever made this anime knows for sure a little bit of
archery!!!
This scene of her splitting the arrow is right up there with Mulan climbing
the pole at camp. -3
every single time I hear the name Ferghus I think of the blacksmith in
Mabinogi: Free Fantasy Life. Needless to say, I hide my wooden sword.

Love how Merida just walks by all of the targets hitting the bulls eye like
it’s nothing. Those fools got owned and they know it.
